From inception in May 2013, GSK Fresh Produce operates and produces under a lean system. We utilize everything we grow in some form in the horticultural cycle of life with less than 2% of our product going to waste. Our operations, production and processes are modeled against the Global Good Agricultural Practice program (Global GAP) while we pursue certification as well as under the management of certified international food safety standard Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Kepner Tregoe trained and certified expertise. GSK Fresh Produce strongly advocates for Zero Food Waste and has programs instituted towards the effort since 2014. Our production and operation methods are designed to ensure exceptional quality and shelf stability from the ground up to the table. We have an internal traceability program for all retail products to ensure exceptional quality, long shelf life stability for the customer and generally minimize food waste.

Our lean operating, production and processing systems include an in-house designed drip irrigation system, minimum use of conventional fertilizers as well as pest and disease control chemicals, creating and designing webpage for the business to mention a few. When conventional fertilizers and chemicals are used- they are carefully controlled and monitored. Our production methods are more aligned towards traditional methods using natural organic matter for fertilization and natural methods for pest and disease control as we continuously assess areas for improvement.

GSK Fresh Produce also offers all its employees a safe and healthy working environment as part of their sustainable growth initiative ensuring that proper personal protective equipment is provided, sufficient training is provided, housing is in good livable conditions and food nutrition requirements are met.
